Configuration Citrix Secure Gateway [german]

I have compiled an updated PDF outlining the steps to  configure the Citrix Secure Gateway 3.0 (available only in German).

Website moved - downloads gone?

I have not been updating this site for quite some time so I decided it would be the time again to do so... Therefore I moved the site from my previous provider to some other place. One of you guys found out that the downloads were actually not transferred so I corrected that. While doing this I decided to sign all the binaries so you know they have not been modified otherwise. Trustworthy, isn't it...

BUG: AppShadow stopped redirecting registry access in some cases

AppShadow has been updated so closing calls to root handles are now properly handled.

CreateHardLink: Create and display information about hard links

CreateHardLink lets you create hard links and display information about them.

SessionInfo: Information about Terminal Server sessions

SessionInfo lets you display information about Terminal Server sessions from script.

UPDATE: Registry virtualization per process

AppShadow is out! With it you can give every process its own registry (HKLM, HKCU). Now you can start installing different versions of Microsoft Office on the same machine without hassle.

Redirection of OutputDebugString() across terminal server sessions

With the new tool  DbgViewRedir you can monitor OutputDebugString() messages from different terminal server and mirror them to your local session. Works with standard debuggers and tools like  Sysinternals: DebugView.

Internet Explorer Maintenance Group Policy is not applied

When trying to run the Microsoft Internet 6.0 Explorer as a published application on a server running Windows 2003 Server Group Policies are not applied (Microsoft and  Citrix confirm this erratic behaviour). Apart from this observation there are other features that do not work as expected when running programm without the Windows Explorer shell. In order to avoid this I would like to present a small utility that detects and hides the Windows Explorer shell and thus allows programs to operate normally in Terminal Server environments (both RDP and ICA based). See my Knowledge Base article  HOWTO: Detecting and Hiding Windows Explorer Shell for further details.
Source code is available upon request.

Citrix Server-to-Client redirection does not work as expected

By installing a hotfix for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1  Q832894 (also known as MS04-004 security update) the Citrix feature Server-to-Client redirection does not work as expected on all servers any more. See article (german only)  ERROR: Citrix Server-to-Client Umleitung funktioniert nicht wie erwartet for further details.
